Ancient Tripeaks 2 from Toybox Games should come with a warning label that reads "Addictive." I don't say that lightly. These days, every casual game publisher is claiming its games are addictive; in the case of Ancient Tripeaks 2, it's true.

The game is simple. Each level consists of an arrangement of stacked playing cards, some of which are face up, most of which are turned down. Somewhere on the screen is the draw deck, next to which a single card is placed face up. Your task is to match cards one higher or lower with the card next to the draw deck. As you remove cards from the board, the cards beneath them are revealed. The challenge lies in putting together long combinations as you attempt to clear the screen.

This alone allowed Ancient Tripeaks 2 to draw me into a brutal cycle of playing "just one more level." But Toybox Games included several welcome features that made it even more difficult to quit, including a story in which you travel through Greece sculpting statues of mythological figures, online scoring, powerups that make the game easier, outstanding visuals and an options screen that allows you to tailor the experience to your liking (i.e. you can choose to play with or without powerups). For addictive Solitaire fun, Ancient Tripeaks 2 is one of the best.
