Atlantis: Sky Patrol from Big Fish Games is a triumph of art direction. Many casual games look great. Sky Patrol goes beyond tickling your eyes to immersing you in an alternate universe resembling a 1950's sci-fi pulp novel. It renders a world of steam and technology and engineering marvels on your computer screen that draws you into gameplay just as engaging as the visuals.

Now that I've heaped praise on the graphics, I should mention Sky Patrol is a Zuma clone. As in other games in this category, long chains of colored orbs roll down a twisting track. Your job is to shoot even more orbs at these chains in an attempt to match three of the same color, thereby making them disappear before they reach the end of the track.

Sky Patrol includes several engaging twists. To beat a level, for example, you must also destroy several orbs deposited across the screen by hitting them with an orb of the same color. You also earn money for the amount of track over which the chain doesn't travel, allowing you to upgrade the game's powerups and the cannon with which you shoot orbs.

Since I can't say enough good things about Sky Patrol, yet I have a limited amount of space in which to do so, I recommend
downloading the free trial version and playing this minor masterpiece on your own.
