Sometimes, we connect with a game through one or two of its best features. For me, it's usually good graphics and smooth controls, but with Burger Shop from Gobit Games, it was the sound effects. That might sound crazy, but play the game for a few minutes with your speakers turned up high, and you'll hear what I mean.

When you first load the game, a funky, upbeat tune pounds through your speakers. Since Burger Shop is a casual arcade game in which you slap together orders in a fast food restaurant, the title theme sets the perfect tone.

Once you get into the game, the audio get ever better. After you're finished making a sandwich, which is as easy as clicking on the necessary ingredients, you can right click it to send it to the customer at the counter. As you do this, you'll hear a nice "whoosh!" sound followed by a satisfying "ka-ching!" as you automatically collect the money. My ears loved it when I got busy.

Other activities include drawing drinks from a soda fountain, preparing orders of fries and filling cups with ice cream. Although certain functions are automatic, such as placing the ingredients for a sandwich in the correct order and collecting money from customers, the action in Burger Shop gets intense -- in a good way. If you enjoyed Stand O' Food from Alawar, you'll like Burger Shop, too. Features five restaurants, several different customers and the ability to purchase the items you want for your establishment.
