Eets Review
Published: April 30, 2006 Emotions and their effects on our behavior are at the core of a brilliant new puzzle game from Klei Entertainment called Eets. In Eets, you control a creature that collects scattered puzzle shards. The goal of each level is to get him from the starting point to a puzzle piece. Of course, obstacles stand in his way. To help, you place items on the screen that will guide him to his objective, then set him loose. If he encounters an Angry Marshmallow Bud, he'll eat it and get mad, enabling him to jump across a huge gap. Or you might have a Prankster Whale suck in the creature and propel it to a higher platform. Or you might make chocolate chips with a Choco Pump and have the whale blow them at a Sneezy Sow, which will fire an explosive from its butt, blowing up a barrier of rocks. If you don't get the idea, you will after the game's extensive tutorial. There are certain games everyone with a PC must try. Eets is one of them. Besides head-scratching puzzles, the artwork and animation are great, creating an off-tilt and colorful world among the clouds. If you're hungry for a challenge, Eets should hit the spot.
