Fruit Fall Deluxe Review

As I rotated the screen in an effort to group together bananas, strawberries and green apples, my mouth started watering. Like going to the grocery store on an empty stomach, playing Fruit Fall when you're starving is unwise, so plan your gameplay sessions around mealtime. Consisting of 50 levels set in different environments, the goal in Fruit Fall is to eliminate all the produce on the screen by grouping together three or more pieces of the same crop. Using the directional keys, you rotate the screen to work the edibles around corners and other obstacles in a small maze. At first, you're given three pieces of each kind of produce to eliminate, but eventually, you're given four or more. If three pieces touch, they disappear, leaving out the odd piece of fruit and rendering the level unsolvable. Luck and smarts both have a part in solving the puzzles in Fruit Fall, making the game frustrating and satisfying in equal measure. Also, the restart option will become your best friend, as it's easy to get into a bind. (No pun intended, banana lovers.) Still, the level design is clever, the visuals are attractive and the global high score list offers a good incentive for improving your performance on each level, all of which makes Fruit Fall appealing.
