Jewel of Atlantis Review
Written by: Eve Care Published: March 31, 2008 Think you've been bejeweled? You'll "be dazzled" with Jewel of Atlantis! Jewel of Atlantis from Enkord is a rare pearl in the match-three genre . Not only will the music entrance you and the jewels mesmerize you, but the scenery will encompass you with its peaceful animation and serene landscape. You might even forget you're playing a game! Come, relax at the bottom of the ocean, where three levels of difficulty set your pace. Then set sail on a legend map which guides your underwater aquatic adventure. The timer is barely noticeable due to the tranquility that wraps you up in subliminal tides of bliss! Answer the call of the sea, and you might have the impression you're inside a treasure chest once you've settled in! Your mission is to match three or more jewels to break various types of blocks. Early in your travels, blocks allow the jewels to move through them, breaking them as they're matched. But, upon further exploration of the seas, you'll find other structures holding the jewels captive, requiring two or more successful matches to break! Two absolutely brilliant highlights of Jewel of Atlantis: 1) matches can break blocks if they're adjacent to them and contain the same items you are matching; and 2) you can keep matching items while the powerups galore are falling, unlike other games I've played which make you wait to move again. Want to stir things up? Move your cursor over the board and watch the gems light up with sparkles while bubbles follow you wherever you go! You're encouraged to make waves here! Jewel of Atlantis is so much fun, with its relaxed gameplay and super bright display of sparkling gems, it's sure to never become buried treasure!
