We often see developers of casual games "borrowing" ideas from each other and then putting in their own twists. Case in point: Lucyq Deluxe from Zylom Media Group, which is a variation on Mystery Case Files from Big Fish Games.

In Lucy Q, you must find smaller images within a larger picture. For example, you might have to pinpoint the location of a certain rose in a flower garden or a group of beads in a jewelry display. Each level comes with several smaller images to find, either before time runs out or you click a wrong spot too many times. On some levels, you have to contend with the smaller images being inverted from what's in the large photo or scraps of paper getting in the way of what you need to see. Sometimes, you get to use a magnifying glass to see the finer details, which helps. Also useful are the limited numer of hints you're given.

Just because Lucy Q "borrows" from object hunting games doesn't mean it isn't fun or addictive. On the contrary, I lost track of time as I scrubbed the screen, solving "one more picture." Often, the time limit for a level is too short, although you can try as many times as necessary. Fortunately, that's the only drawback to this otherwise enjoyable game.
