Sally's Salon Review
Written by: David Laprad Published: August 19, 2007 I'm a sucker for a good time management game. And there are more than enough DINER DASH style offerings to satisfy my cravings. The problem is finding a game with something different, a twist no one else thought of. In the case of Sally's Salon, that would be the classic French Twist. In the game, you operate a string of beauty salons that offer a variety of services. From styling hair to plucking eyebrows, there's plenty to do along the journey to become a beautician to the stars. While Sally's Salon adds new services automatically as you progress, you're able to spend your hard-earned money on the equipment you choose. You can also hire employees to take care of the grunt work. All of this is routine for a time management game, so to make sure Sally's Salon is more than DINER DASH with curlers, the developers require you to scroll through a selection of styles each time you offer a particular service. Once you find the nail polish the client wants, for example, you're good to go. You want to move fast before your other customers grow impatient and leave, as there's a dollar quota to meet on each stage. Although Sally's Salon loses bounce once you get into a routine, it's still fun overall. It's also easier than similar games, allowing you to advance further before the pressure cooker kicks in. So give it a shot! Walk-ins are welcome. Scoring (out of five stars):Graphics: Ease of use: Gameplay: Challenge: Sound effects: Music: Final analysis: |
