Tom Sawyer exploited the quirks of human nature when he manipulated most of his neighborhood companions into whitewashing Aunt Polly's fence for him. He proved people can be convinced any activity is enjoyable, if marketed well. The question remains, however: if you bought into Tom's line, would you really have a good time whitewashing?

Ask Snowy the Bear and Alawar Entertainment. In Snowy: Lunch Rush, the adorable bear is put to work running a busy lunch counter. You control Snowy with the mouse as he seats customers, takes orders, delivers meals, collects cash and clears tables. As each day begins, customers begin filing in or pulling up to the drive-thru window. The longer customers have to wait for service, the more disgruntled they become. When their patience meters hit zero, they leave in a huff without paying. Deliver prompt service, and you'll get a tip.

You're given some tools, such as coffee, cakes and a music stage, to placate irate diners, but smart prioritizing and a quick hand are needed to earn enough profits to remain in business.

As you progress, more customers, more tables and an ever-quickening pace make Lunch Rush challenging, but is the virtual table-waiting fun? Yes! Smooth graphics and a high level of polish make Snowy's new game a winner.
