Snowy: Treasure Hunter 3 Review

He's trekked across time and space, dealt with everything from alien robots to hungry diner customers, lived through more hairy situations than James Bond and solved more puzzles than Sherlock Holmes. His latest game, Snowy: Treasure Hunter 3, is just what you'd expect: it looks great, sounds incredible, plays smoothly and requires you to have both fast fingers and a quick mind. TH3 picks up where LUNCH RUSH left off, sending our hero on a quest to collect treasure from a mysterious castle. As in the other TH games, you must collect an assortment of shiny objects while outsmarting a variety of foes. Your main tool is a pick axe with which you'll dig through platforms to reach hidden treasure or trap enemies. You'll also be able to use exploding pumpkins and hide behind haystacks. The puzzle design is brilliant. Aliasworlds has had a lot of practice making Lode Runner-style games, and with TH3, they've perfected the formula. You won't get bored as you work your way through the game's 85 levels. When you die, you no longer have to start all over, but rather just lose a life and respawn, with all of the treasure you've collected still in your satchel. Somehow, this lowers the frustration level without making the game easier.
