The Count of Monte Cristo Review
Written by: Lynne Carroll Published: April 22, 2008 Try one of the latest hidden object games to grace your computer and be prepared to face your greatest challenge yet. The Count of Monte Cristo from Intenium and Alawar Entertainment interjects regular object-finding with some extremely difficult puzzles that will challenge your wits and fire up your cerebellum. These aren't your garden-variety puzzles you can solve in a few seconds. These challenging puzzles take longer and actually incorporate the game's story. (This reminds me of the Poirot hidden object games such as Agatha Christie: Peril at End House and Agatha Christie: Death on the Nile, as the developers of those games did an excellent job of integrating the story into all aspects of those releases, including the minigames.) The Count of Monte Cristo is also based on the classic novel by Dumas, which aided in the development of the story. So, whether you're new to these types of games or are hopelessly hooked on them, you'll want to try this one. Just remember, when you tell your friends about it, don't say "Count of Monte Crisco." You're not baking in this one! (For that, try Go-Go Gourmet!) Scoring (out of five stars):Graphics: Ease of use: Gameplay: Difficulty: Sound effects: Music: Final analysis: |
